The Glass House has the most recognizable silhouette on the island. This beautiful home acquired its name from the fabulous floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that wrap around on the north and west. These glass walls were oriented to take maximum advantage of the stunning sea views while still providing privacy to its occupants.

With its ability to sleep 8 people and its many unique characteristics, the fully furnished seafront Glass House is a rare find on Caye Caulker. It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, a rooftop Crow’s Nest that provides some of the most incredible views on the island, wraparound veranda, a long pier with a swim platform and the Caribbean Sea on two sides!

This home received an incredible total remodel in 2021. The wood throughout the interior of the Glass House gives it the cool rustic feel of a true Caye Caulker home. The open floor plan of the main level includes a full kitchen, dining and living area surrounded by magnificent views of the sea. A spiral staircase leads from the ground floor below, through to the main level and on up to the third level which has a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a bonus bedroom with two single beds. The crow’s nest on top of the house is like a world unto its own. There is a cushioned bench for lounging on lazy afternoons and gazing over all of Caye Caulker. It’s not just the spectacular views that make it special, it is the peaceful tranquility and quiet of this magical spot.

The sturdy home boasts beautiful Belizean hardwood flooring and a metal roof. The foundation pilings extend down to bedrock and the structure was bolted to the foundation following hurricane construction code. Powered by solar, the property also includes a gas back-up generator, and 20,000 liters of water containment. All power systems are automatic.

The property is located in Eden Isle on the southwest side of the island, affording incredible sunset views. It is recognizable to all who arrive by small plane, as it is situated near the far end of the airstrip. The lot measures 55 feet by 90 feet and the seawall measures approximately 70 feet by 105 feet. It is set apart from other properties that are considered to be waterfront in that there is no road between the land and the sea. One can walk directly from the land onto the pier and out to swim.
